As such Flowers n Fruits had been prompt, but I have a suggestion based on recent delayed delivery due to non-availability of ordered flowers.
1. You may remove the item from the list if you can't complete it due to any reason. As such with AI you may have better ways of doing this out there, but here is an example.
If you don't have say red roses in Delhi on selected day of delivery, remove all items from your list which uses red roses. Such that user don't even have option to place an order, which you can't fulfill.
Basically, enlist options only those you can deliver.
2. Improve communication speed by getting some prompts (like SMS) as soon as order is placed, even if online, and you can start interacting with customer on availability, alternatives, additional charges etc. As you have global customers, you may use platforms like WhatsApp etc.
Please note, gifting has its value if delivered on time and as expected.
